Hi, I’m Mike Coleman, A Fluke temperature metrologist, and I’m here today to talk about our Field Metrology Wells, the 914X series, that are designed for on-site calibration work and for use in industrial applications.
This unit is a Fluke 9142. It weighs about eighteen pounds, so it’s easy to lift and carry for on-site work, and it comes in a nice, compact package. Field conditions often have difficult temperature environments, and the 914X was designed with that in mind. The controller is able to deal with these difficult situations to provide excellent temperature uniformity and stability.
The 914X series is designed to transition in temperature very quickly. There are three 914X models that cover the temperature range from -25 degrees Celsius to 660 degrees Celsius. The display shows several operating parameters such as set point, current temperature, and heating and cooling rate. The measurement insert slides in and out of the top of the unit, and these can be swapped out to accommodate probes of different probe diameters.
The optional process electronics version has a built-in readout and reference PRT port to combine with the heat source to improve system accuracies as well as useful electronic inputs to eliminate the need to bring additional tools to the job site.
The 914X Field Metrology Wells come with NVLAP-accredited calibrations that are backed with world-class Fluke metrology so you can have confidence that your measurements will be done right.
