Fluke Calibration Publishes Third Annual Calibration & Metrology Salary Survey Results
Everett, Wash., November 6, 2019 – Fluke Calibration has released the results of its third annual Calibration & Metrology Salary Survey. Data collected in this survey shows median annual base salary information across multiple industries and disciplines in the field of metrology, and how those incomes differ between educational backgrounds, industry, years of service, and more.
Key insights from this year’s report include a 4-percent uplift in average reported salaries after relatively flat growth the previous year. The amount of annual workload also shows significant growth, with the majority of respondents reporting “heavy” or “excessive” workloads for the first time since we began collecting this data. Those hoping to see uplift in the percentage of women in the calibration industry will not see that reflected in this year’s sample, which showed a slight decrease in those numbers.
Fluke Calibration wants to thank everyone who participated in this year’s survey. These reports allow us to help fellow metrology and calibration professionals better navigate their career development paths. As we collect more data each year, we are able to provide our community with deeper and more meaningful insights.
